ILTIZAM Catalyst is a programme under the ILTIZAM Entrepreneurship Programme that provides hands-on and direct assistance via qualified technical consultants to bridge the gaps in businesses and strengthen their capacity for sustainable growth.

ILTIZAM Catalyst is open to all Bumiputera businesses with revenue between RM300,000 - RM1 million with a minimum of two (2) years track record registered in Malaysia and has met the eligibility criteria . ILTIZAM Catalyst will exclude businesses related to:

Start-ups
Liquor
Illegal/unethical activities

Some common business issues that ILTIZAM Catalyst can help with include:

Sales Expansion

Limited skills and understanding of digital marketing & branding.
Difficulty in accessing sufficient funding, often due to incomplete documentation.

Strategic Decision Making

Lack of guidance/mentorship/leadership skills.
Talent management/retainment issues

Efficiency/Cost Effectiveness

Limited automation - heavy reliance on manual processes and manpower.
Lack of skills in financial management.

You will receive technical and capacity-building assistance in Financial & Compliance, Digital Marketing & Branding, Digital & Technology Adoption and Leadership in the form of knowledge, tools and technical support worth up to RM25,000*

*Cash assistance is not provided.

Following are the specified assistance for each category:

Pillar 1: Finance and Compliance

Finance

Preparation or review of financial statements (P&L, BS, CF).
Analysis of financial statements through designated key financial ratios.
Review of business plan & strategic plan inclusive of business model.
Advice on short and long-term investment needs and business financing for expansion

Compliance

Support for incorporation including tax-related requirements (ie. transition from Enterprise to Sdn Bhd).
Partnership or Shareholders' agreement advisory.
Review of necessary documents, and requirements for effective business operations, licence(s) and certification(s).

Pillar 2: Digital Branding and Marketing

Branding

Preparation or review of financial statements (P&L, BS, CF).
Analysis of financial statements through designated key financial ratios.
Review of business plan & strategic plan inclusive of business model.
Advice on short and long-term investment needs and business financing for expansion

Compliance

Conduct Brand Audit.
Establishment of brand persona and target audience.
Establishment or review of current brand guidelines and strategy.

Pillar 3: Digital and Technology Adoption

Automation

Analysis of current needs or review of the existing system (if any) and recommendation of the best system to automate the process.
Establishment of a finance system.
Establishment of a Human Resource system..
Establishment of a Client Relationship Management system.
Provide training and knowledge transfer for system optimisation, system maintenance and possible future expansion

Strategy and business transformation support using design thinking and Agile methodology.

The eligibility criteria for ILTIZAM Catalyst are as follows:

The business is registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).
The business has at least 51% Bumiputera shareholding,
Financially sustainable with annual revenue between RM300,000 to RM1 million with a minimum of two (2) financial years or more.
Minimum five (5) full-time staff in active employment.
Showcase credentials and needs for the programme.
Fully committed to participating in the ILTIZAM Catalyst programme.

You will need to prepare the following documents to apply for ILTIZAM Catalyst

Company's Certificate of Registration with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).
The owners' Identification Card (IC).
Details of shareholders.
Financial accounts or financial statements (at least cash flow) for the last 2 years (or more).
Employer EPF contribution statement or payslip record.
Company Profile (the summary of your business nature can be in any form such as video/ Instagram account/ eCommerce/ website etc).

You will also need to select 3 representatives from your company to commit to this programme (owner & key management personnel).

If your document/video is incomplete, a notification will be sent to you requesting the submission of missing documents within 7 working days

The application deadline has been extended to 2 October 2022. If you are eligible, you will be shortlisted for the ILTIZAM Catalyst interview.
